The Starlet that Never Shone..!!!

This poem was written by me long long ago about the Girl Child..it was the time when female infeticide was talked about and the government was planning to take some action about it..well, now people was though very educated..they raise the girl child equally as a guy but still certain sections of the society, where the poverty prevails, condemn the girl child...

A girl was born
at the dawn..
But no one rejoiced,
And even the mother cried..
The child got sufferings,
was even left hungry..
No one dared
no one cared..
She was thought to be a burden,
And pitied by the urchins..
She dint utter a word,
for she got afraid of the world..
She was married or was sold off,
no one knows what her fate was..
Before giving birth,
she left the horrible world..
Finally Her soul fetched peace,
freed from the tease...!!!
